Rare are moments of truth, when you’ve struck the last match, belting out tunes with your friends, staring deep into the campfire – times when you feel infinite. Our Truth is found in the scintillating brilliance of hops. Brewed with a nod to the Pacific, hops sizzle with tropical fruit aroma, grapefruit and mango notes and a dry finish.

Re:rate on tap at Colby’s. Huge citrus nose with tangerine, pineapple and peach jumping out. Clean and crisp on the palate. Light-bodied with good bitterness on the finish, but not overly bitter. A different beer on tap for sure. Can from J’s. Pours a fairly clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Light peach and pineapple nose with more iyokan and grapefruit as it warms. Well-balanced with some peach juice, but a touch of booze and some overly big bitterness on the finish. Still a solid IPA, but the bitterness could be a little more restrained.

From the can. Weed aromas. Bitter dry chocolate (?) upfront turning to peel and pith in the lasting finish.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 6/27/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, passion fruit, papaya, mango, peach, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, light pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, passion fruit, papaya, mango, peach, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, light pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, passion fruit, papaya, mango, peach, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, pine, honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero hop astringency lingering after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing though the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, fairly creamy/grainy, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Can from thebaldwizard. Thanks Joe! Dated 4/21/16. It pours an orange color. A little on the darker side with an off white head. The aroma has some bread and caramel malt up front supported by some nice peach, pineapple and passionfruit notes. The flavor has more of the passionfruit, orange, pineapple with some toasted and caramel malt. Good balance between the two. The finish is medium bitter for the style and a bit on the floral side. Overall, a bit on the malty side for me, but still pretty darn tasty.

Can. Deep gold/amber with a thin head and aromas of silo dust and non-descript bitterness. Flavor is chewy grain dust with a tangy bitter. Blech.
