16 ounce can. Amber copper color. Small creamy beige head. Grainy malt aroma. Sweet toasted malt flavor. Notes of caramel and earthy rye. Medium bodied and complex. Herbal hop finish is pleasant.

16 oz. can from Trader Joe's. Pours more of a dunkel color under a spongy tan head. Smell is a slightly grainy malt nose, just a slight edge of hops, tending toward the English side. Kind of surprised to see that the taste has a smoky, Bamburg impression up front. That settles down to a brisk and spicy rye malt note. I ticked my taste rating up a notch once the body of the beer came in. Hops on this are not very definite, but I'd stick with some, but not all, earthy English hops to match the smokiness I first tasted. Or maybe they're what's making that impression.
