Bottle at L42. It pours black with a thick light tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, aniseed, oily, liquorice, toasty and some orange marmalade. The taste is bitter, toasty, earthy, roast, ashy, charred, burnt toast, orange marmalade and black pepper with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok, certainly tastes better than regular Phat Fil.

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, full sized beige head that lasts for a long time. Smell and taste malts, hops, dark malts. Basically as simple as that. Medium body and soft to decent, yet suitable carbonation. Simple but good. Nice beer!

330ml Bottle (Drink Bar, Tallinn) - Shared with FatPhll himself! Black in colour. Roasted and soapy aroma with notes of citrus and liquorice. Citrus, liquorice, coffee, fudge and some soapy notes can all be detected in the nicely balanced taste. An enjoyable black IPA.

Black as the deepest dungeon with a fine tan head. Looks good. Nice intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation level. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Chocolate, pine, grapefruit hoppy, fruity and roasted flavor. Lovely ale!
