The third and final Birthday beer is the latest in our single hop series, focusing on newly named Krush (HBC 586), one of our favourite experimental hops from recent years.

It's pure mango smoothie with notes of freshly squeezed OJ and tinned peaches.

Can. A light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small and short lived off white head. Light smooth palate with good fine minerally carbonation emerging on the back end. Pale malts bordering thin in the mouthfeel but certainly sweet enough. HBC586 hops presenting here with light crisp pine and modest if fairly bright citrus. Back end brings mild mangoish tropical fruits. Light crisp finish delivers a modicum of hop spice. Tidy and drinkable but quite lacking the tropical fruits richness that you would normally associate with this hop.
