Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, licorice, coffee and hops. Dry smooth finish.

330ml bottle provided by djoeye. Flip-off cork. Pours a creamy tan-coloured lacing-head and a deep dark brown body. Roasted dark malty nose. Ash, earth and dark bready flavours. Roasted bitterness to the ending. Smooth on the swallow and fairly easy to drink (shared with Finn at his place, Tromsø 16.07.2014).

Flaske 330ml anskaffet av djoeye. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 16 Jul 14. Svart. Mokkafarget skum med kniplingslacing. God sjokoladearoma. Smaken er lakris & litt kaffe.

Bottle from trade with rosenbergh, many thanks Jan. Dark chestnut red brown color with thick beige head. Dark malt, some berries, herbs in weak aroma. Taste, roasted malt, coffee, caramel, some herbs. Drinkable.

Dark brown color, good beige head, lace. Barley, rye bready, "mämmi" aroma in the nose. Medium-bodied. Burnt maltyness, sweetish, mämmi, very rye bready. Finish is somewhat watery. Meh.

Bottle from rosenbergh, many thanks! Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, schokoladig, etwas Kräuter. Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, Kräuter, Minze, Kaffee, leicht schokoladig.

33cl bottle. Deep brown, thin beige head. Chocolate, rye bread mostly in aroma. Flavor has bread, roastedness, grainyness. Quite dunkel like. Not much mämmi here. Watery.

Aroma has hay, some roastiness, and pea soup. Flavour has roastiness, toffee, nuts and some vegetables. Ashy finish. Better than the previous Mämmis but still nothing much. I had Nøgne Imperial Brown and Founders IS before this and both of them were more mämmi. Heck, actually even the Drink’in the Snow was more mämmi than this. It just takes a lot more malt to be a mämmi.

Tap at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Sweetness, hints of syrup, molasses, grain and roasted malts. Positive surprise but still easy to forget.
