This beer was brewed last year with our good friends at Belleflower Brewing. We released a portion of it last year, fresh, as Totally Coconuts. We aged the remaining beer in a combination of Penelope Bourbon and Kentucky Owl Bourbon barrels for 11 months and 24 days.

500 ml. Bottle. # 176/840. Aroma has cocoa and bourbon. Maybe red wine. Flavor of cocoa with vanilla, wood, and bourbon. Booze is not forward. Body is full and dry texture. Real good!

Bottle shared with the membership group. Inky, opaque dark brown, nice viscosity. Aroma is strong roasted malt, nice bourbon. Taste is sweet roasted malt, bourbon, oak, late hint of toffee and chocolate. Mild, pleasant alcohol warmth. Smooth, easy drinker.

500mL bottle #176/840, 3/11/24, drunk 1/12/25.
Clear, dark. Small, tan head sits at cover.
Fruity with cocoa and vinous notes. Light caramel, light oak, mild bourbon spice. Maybe a bit young yet, with some punchy malt and acidity. But no alcohol, of course.
A bit sweet, very malty with huge caramel notes, toffee, vanilla and light barrel character on the end. I think this one is still just a touch young, overly fruity, a bit punchy-sweet and with a touch of that raw sugar that needs maybe six more months to get eaten up. No booze, good flavors, rich, malty, decent acidity.
