Bottle, 9C. Brown with a wisp of beige head. Smells like hazelnuts all right, with some chocolate and batter. Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Sweet and mainly about nuts, with some chocolate and lightly roasted flavours. Hmm, but quite bitter chocolate muscles in towards the end. Cocoa and vanilla aromatics linger after the sweetness gets lifted away by a gently drying and slightly bitter finish. Pretty good, liked it a bit less as it warmed.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a reddish brown with a beige head. Sweet, artificial nut aroma. Medium body, cloying artificial nut aromas, vanilla and milk chocolate. Very subdued bitterness. Clooying. 070115

Cask at foot of the walk. Nutty Chocolate nose, tastes rich and smooth, chocolate, fudge, roast nuts, light spice. A bit thin and sweet.

33cl bottle. Bbe 31 MAR 2015. Poured mahogany in color, thin white head. Low carbonation. Fudge, toffee candy, chocolate cake and nuts in aroma. Flavor has chocolate, fudge, mudcake, sweetness. On the sweeter side forme. Still a quite nice sipper.

330ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours clear dark brown, red tinged. Thin tan head. Aromas are spot on, hazelnut and chocolate. Taste is far too sweet though. Cloying. Thin finish.

330ml bottle from Morrison’s - Deep mahogany body, little or no head. Nose is Nutella spread, lots of choc lots of nuts. Taste is sweet, with the chocciness and nuttiness coming on in bounds. Bit thin, but I enjoyed this.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Batemans Hazelnut Brownie ].Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, cookie, sweet cake, artificial nuts - hazelnuts, zsweet artificial nuts. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet hazelnut, cookie, artificial nuts, artificial cake - cookie. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
