Pours black with a tall, thick, tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate, lactic malt. Taste is creamy, dark chocolate..fairly bitter chocolate. Rather tasty, a little sticky-clingy malted milk-thing going on. Nice.

Dark brown coloured body with a light tan head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, cherries, milk, yeast and a bit of raisins with concord grapes. Medium-bodied; Nice assertive roasted oatmeal flavours with a decent amount of fruits noticeable, some earthy bite along with a bit of a lactic character near the end. Aftertaste shows some sweetness, tucked with a little light coffee notes and a hint of anise at the tail end. Overall, a nice oatmeal stout with good characteristics and a very nice body. Definitely worth trying if you can find it and perhaps get it a bit cheaper than I did. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 23-December-2011 for US$8.99 sampled at home in Upstate New York on 27-December-2012.

On tap at Porter. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head that dissipated to the edges and laces nicely. Aroma has notes of sweet dark grains and a hint of sweet lactose and a bit of dryness. Flavor has roasted malts and dark chocolate with a bit of growing sweetness and a hint of dryness.

Pretty strong beer, in the taste sense not the booze sense. Smells like loads of espresso. So much that any oat taste is eclipsed, but it still makes for a potent mouthful. Taste is a touch syrupy, thick consistency. Coffee bitter. Pours black with lots of head but not much lacing. Bottle from Peluso.

Bouteille 500ml. Couleur foncée presque noire. Arôme de café, de chocolat noir. Au goût, les arômes sont bien représentées. Saveurs de café, voire d’espresso, de chocolat. Bière un brin sucrée, mais agréable.
