290814. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, roasted malt. Flavour is pine, grapefruit, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, orange. Nice beer.

[ As Hamburg No Lux Black CDA ].Clear medium brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, light pine, light licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, grapefruit, sweet malt, dry, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140829]

Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity, dark malty and roasted. Solid hoppy. Roasted malty and dry. Bitter and slight fruity finish.

Pours slightly hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, orange and pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, orange, citrus and pine finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

A clear, dark amber beer topped by a dense, off-white head. The aroma is faintly sourish, with pine cones, resins and orange zest. Some faint roasted malt hints. It’s full to medium bodied, with a nice, but high, carbonation level. Quite dry and bitter on the palate, with the hops dominating. Some roasted notes too, especially in the finish. Quite nice in a way, but that’s it. Like that it’s not too much on the malty side. 140829

Dark brown with medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, hop, pine and grapefruit. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, grapefruit, pine, hop, little sweet, little earthy and quite bitter.

Hazy dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - pine and citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 290814

Nice head with medium duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, flowers, citrus, malt and has a nice long bitter finish.

On tap at the brewery. Black with a thin cream head, and a brilliant ruby colour when held to the light; aroma of chocolate malts; smooth and full in teh mouth with depply roasted malts giving nutty and chocolate flavours; then a dry, citrusy, hoppy finish. A beautifully balanced beer.
