CBC Session 3. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and crispy. Minerals. Mild dark malts with sweetish dark fruits. Mild vanilla oak underneath, not that sweet. Vague chocolate powder. Finishes light and semi dry. Complex and tasty but not quite blowing my socks off.

Draft @ CBC 2014. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate and whiskey aroma. Roasted malty sweetish chocolate and woody whiskey flavor with hints of vanilla. Has a roasted malty woody whiskey and chocolate finish.

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty and light fruity. Smooth vanilla and caramelish. Toasted malty. Smooth almost milky, caramelish and chocolate, light vanilla finish.

[5/3/14] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. 3rd session. Black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, some fruitiness and caramel. Sweet flavor with chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, some fruitiness, a bit of milky notes and caramel. Full-bodied. Great.

Aroma is sweet with strong whiskey notes. Flavour has stinging whiskey, peaty tones, some salty licorice and hints of ash. Too sweet.

Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, some wood, whisky, sweet syrup, cocoa and dark chocolate. Taste is heavy, sticky and syrupy with whisky, cocoa, dark chocolate, wood and sweetness. Finish is sticky and a bit stuffy with some stingy notes, wood and sweetness. Okay, quite heavy stuff.

Dark brown color, small brownish head. Strong whisky aroma, light tar notes. Full-bodied. Sweet vanilla, chocolate, whisky. Very sweet beer with evident whisky booze flavor. Dessert.
