375 ml bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Clear golden yellow with 2.5 fingers of off-white head. Aromas of tropical fruit, citrus fruit and peel, a bit of Brett and earthy notes, funk. Tastes of citrus, light Brett, some wine, tropical fruit, floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty nice.

Bottle, 10C. Clear, almost glowing gold with a white head that’s never less than a coat. Bretty aroma with funky lemon, grapefruit, honeyed hay, peach, oak. Not aggressive, but tightly wound rather than inviting. Then sweeter than expected with apricot, hay, honey and the bretty and hoppy notes floating over the top. Finish is dryish with some oak, minerals. Lots of nice things going on, but didn’t really cohere for me - perhaps because it’s about as wild as a pet rock.

Bottle 375ml. [ As Mikkeller/Grassroots Wheat is the New Hops (Aged in Chardonnay Barrels) ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, moderate to heavy yeasty, leather - brett, grapes, wine - white wine, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, moderate acidic and bitter with a long duration, dry, grapes, tart, wood, leather - brett. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20140618]

Bottle at Paradiso Georgetown. Hazy pale yellow color, very lively head. Aroma of peppery, funky lemon. Taste is really dusty, peppery, slightly floral, slightly vinous, very complex, soft sourness. Very nice.

Bottle from Mikkeller Beer Shop. Clear golden with a big and lasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, light bretty and white wine. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 300714

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. White grape and funk aromas. Medium bodied with marshmallow and dough upfront turning to mildly tart dusty grapes before the earthy bitter finish.
