Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sourness, roasted malt, caramel, fruit. Flavour is sourness, roasted malt, caramel, hop, pine, chocolate. Medium body. Ordinary beer. KØLF 010814.

0.33l bottle. Boy, this smells like it's been barreled for ages! Really kinda sour, woody and dry on the nose with traces of earthy sun damaged chocolate and plain old vinegar. This has to be a off-bottle, or batch for that matter. It's deep and dark in the glass, not to far off black but still within the brown category and it has a medium sized slowly lacing brown head. Oh, yeah. It's just as expected in the taste. Clearly infected. A ton of old sour wood, malt vinegar and sour red currants. This is one of those bottles I should return to the place where I bought them and demanded my money back. But knowing me, I won't do that. Down the drain it goes. 02.08.2014

330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 6.5%. Very dark mahogany colour, nearly black. Low off-white to beige head. Strong sourish-malty aroma, some roasty hints too. Medium sweet and roasty flavour, woody and ashy notes. Not my favourite this one.

Bottle 330ml. @ The Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2014, TSODRBSG14. [ As Södra Brown Ale ].ABV: 6.5%. Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, light roasted, light sour - sour malt - lactic sour. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet dark malt, roasted, sour malt - fruity - berries, lactic. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140830]

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is milky and fruity. Dark roasted malty. Flat malty and citric. Sourish. Dry and citric finish.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, nuts, caramel, fruits and hops.

Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and vinegar. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light sour. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
