32 oz Crowler purchased at Ghost Isle Brewery in New Buffalo, Michigan. The pour is an opaque black with a well formed two inch light khaki head. Very retentive, particularly for a crowler. The aroma is soft caramel and cane sugar, soft roast and maybe a hint of anise. The taste is roast, slightly char malt, a hint of the cane sugar sweet, finishing with more of the char roast and bit of mineral. The palate is light bodied, almost watery, with soft carbonation and a clean dry, mineral finish. Decent stout.
