For this cool weather collab with our friends from Monument City, we took our Weizenbock base and patiently waited while it aged in Blackstrap Molasses Rum Barrels for 4 months. The resulting deep amber brew initially brings notes of dark fruit, caramel, and toffee, as well as rich spice cake and dessert bread spices. This is all balanced by molasses, vanilla, wood character, and a pleasant rum-like sweetness from the barrels. So just like the fairytale namesake of this beer (Rumpelstiltskin), our brewers have spun some grain into pure gold.

12 oz can generously sent by my secret Santa, Nimbleprop. The pour is a hazy murky amber, brown, copper with a noisy ½ light tan head that falls quickly. The aroma is toffee malt, molasses , boozy rum, a bit of raisin and general alcohol. The palate is medium bodied, almost still carbonation and a warming rum alcohol molasses finish. Alcohol integrated into the flavors as the beer warmed. Fun beer, a bit on the boozy end of the spectrum for my personal taste. Thanks, Andrew.

12oz can pours a murky amber with plenty of frothy white head.  Nose has booze and malt and dried fruits, dates, caramel.  Flavor is weizenbock and whiskey, light spice, some candied orange peel.  Hot finish, full bodied.  7 3 7 3 12
