Barking Dog Brown Ale

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours clear brown with a creamy, off-white head. Nice hocolatey notes in the nose. Light sweet flavour, some milk chocolate, brown bread, soft roast, a little earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, more cocoa, earth, dried berries. Not bad.

Shaker pint draft at the brewery in Silverthorne, Colorado. The pour is a clear brown golden with a minimal off white head. The aroma is lightly sweet malt and not much else. The taste is the soft roast, sweet toffee malt and a bit of pine and grass. Much more flavor than the nose would have suggested. The palate is light to medium bodied with active natural carbonation and mineral soft sweet roast finish. Solid.
