Several glasses from a growler filled 48 hours previously at Martin City Brewing Company Pizza & Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed golden orange with with a smallish white head. The aroma is heavy on the brandy apple fruit up front, then classic Saison yeast notes under the Brandy. The taste starts with the brandy apple fruit sweet along with wood from the barrel and then moves smoothly to the grass and yeast of the Saison base. The Brandy is reintroduce softly in the lingering finish. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the brandy and wood in the longish finish. The barrel is used very nicely on this one, if I was a bigger fan of Brandy this would have love this. Regardless, well done tasty beer.
