Goblet / tulip type glass draft at the brewpub in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a limited white head. The aroma is straw, sweet floral and clove yeast. All aromas are pretty muted. The taste is a nice blend of straw, sweet floral, the clove herbal yeast and warming alcohol. The straw-grass character is the dominant flavor, though decent integration of flavors. The palate is medium to heavy bodied with low carbonation and a bit of grass and soft sweet in the back. Sweet alcohol booze also present in the finish. The herbal yeast character became more pronounced as the beer warmed. Nice take on a style that is not one of my favorites.
