Several samples at the 2011 KC Strong Ale Festival. Pour is a mostly clear amber with a smallish off white head. Aroma starts off with a clean hop character, resinous, balanced nicely with a toasted malt. The taste is a really nice balance between the brightness of the hop resin and the clean toasted malt character. Palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and a dry clean hop finish. Nice stuff, and unique from single wide, double wide and the 21st anniversary beer. Glad I had a chance to try it.
