330ml bottle, as Frihetsøl, from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Clear dark golden coloured body. Decent pearl white head leaving clinging lace behind. Fairly sweet aromas of grain and bread. Taste of caramel, honey, and herbal hops. Malty ending. Medium bodied. Not much going on, fair enough though. (at home, Tromsø 05.09.2014).

Looks really nice. Clear deep golden with a fine white head. Ok aroma. Deep caramel and light fruity. Nice body. Looked like it had a rich carbonation. Lots off bubbles in the glass. Felt quite opposite. Soft carbonation. To sweet for my liking. Unbalanced bitterness. Also unbalanced flavor. To much caramel malty with some fruity notes. Not my beer. The story of Mr Mølbach is far more interesting.

Bottle, at Gladmat. It’s a clear dark golden beer with a white fingerthick head. The aroma is quite fruity, with a light alcohol-sweet touch. Pine cones and grass. It’s full-bodied and a bit warming on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. More on the sweet side than on the dry side. There’s enough bitterness to deal with the pale malts and light alcohol touch. Quite fruity, with a lasting finish. Far from superb this one, but it’s a decent beer anyway. Rating: 6-4-5-4-11-3.0. 140726
Bottle. As Frihetsøl. It pours a lightly hazy dark golden body and a small but dense off-white head. The aroma is quite fruity-sweet, with some alcohol notes, Hints of canned peaches in the far back. It’s full-bodied and well carbonated, rather sweetish on the palate, with fruityness, a bitterness trying to bring some balance, and a touch of canned peaches. A generic fruityness does most of the flavor work though. Not much alcohol in the flavor, neither initially nor in the sweet and fruity finish. Overall, it’s too sweet I think, but it’s clean and quite tasteful anyway. Not a beer I buy more than once. 140731
