Bottle - thanks bob!. Pours crystal clear reddish amber, small off-white head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is malty, nutty, caramel, grass. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, bready and nutty malts with a bit of grass. A bit metallic on the finish. Light body.

Pour is a dark brown with a white head. Aroma is caramel malts and not much else. The flavor is a whole lot better. Lots of caramel malts greets you and then comes a nice overall roasted quality that stays with you after the swallow. A very ’’roasted’’ marzen for sure.

16oz draft at the Brewery on 10/15. Pour is a brown - reddish with a smallish off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, though the cool temp masked most of that. Taste is really nice, caramel, slight touch of roastiness and finishes with a really pleasant spiciness. Almost a dash of black pepper, which really serves to enhance the experience. Entire taste is really smooth and drinkable. Only knock on this one was that it was served way too cold in a plastic cup - understandable since Oktoberfest in Hermann is a crush of people. If you want glass, order a liter!
