Jacobsen India Pale Ale is an amber IPA with a dense creamy foam. The scent features notes of bark, coriander and citrus on top of a rich malt base. The taste is fresh and crisp with a caramelised malt sweetness and a well-developed bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle 500ml @ yngwie
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, corn and hint of floral. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft. How is this an IPA? more like a pale lager.

Bottle. A mostly clear one, dark golden in color and with a small, dense, white head. The aroma is rather weak, with some caramel maltyness and a touch of citrusy, piney hops. Some warming notes in the mouth, with a fine carbonation level, medium to full body. Pine cones, some malts and citrus peel in the flavor, both initially and in the end. Decent bitterness level. Way too boring this one, but clean and flawless. 140418

Clear, light golden. Light, grainy aroma not much to suggest IPA. Low bitterness, more sweetness.

Bottle, 6.6%. Ashy, caramelly hop aroma. Clear copper colour. Big stable creamy white head. The flavour is mildly hoppy. Has a little caramel and fruity hop note. A little underplayed. Could have been more flavourful.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy but stable off-white head. Mild, hoppy aroma, with subtle notes of citrus. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with touches of caramel malt. Bitter and slightly acidic finish. OK but not very impressive.

Bottle at home, big thanks to Jan (Fonefan) for this extra, 08/03/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a well presented off white covering, a handsome beer for sure. Nose is pale malt. grassy, lime juice, straw, orange, sweet notes. Taste comprises light caramel, citrus, grassy, light mineral tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. This looks the bollocks, feels fine but is found wanting at the business end. Mediocre for style.

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of hay,,dusty hops, malt, and some fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spicy hops, hay, and fruit, leading to a bitter finish. Subdued for an IPA.
