Alpe IPA er eit middels humla India Pale ale, med markert innslag av amerikanske humletypar. Ølet er lyst til koparfarga med kraftig skum. Ølet har ein svak maltaroma, med karakter av karamell. Middels til kraftig humlearoma. Ølet passar til matrettar med litt kraftig smak, men kan også nytast åleine.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Trollbryggeriet Slogen Alpe IPA ].[ Trade by yngwie ]. Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light nutty, light caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, orange - citrus, light earthy. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, plastic, sweet hops, caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140705]

Leicht rauchiger Hopfenantrunk, deutliche frische Malzigkeit. Rund, sehr süffig, frisch. Gelungenes süffiges Bier. 9/10/10/9/9/10

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Batch #246. Amber colour, moderate white head. The aroma has moderate fruity hops with hints of smoke, woodwork and ashes. Fairly refreshing and medium dry flavour, hints of smoke and wood again, some hops, but far too moderate for an IPA.

Flaske fra Matkroken Stokka, juli-14: Fin kobberfarge med skum som varer. Aroma av brød, innestengt kjeller og kvae. Smaken minner i tillegg om nyslått gress som har tørket i sola et par timer. Kort og lett bitter ettersmak, men smaken av noe gammelt henger igjen. Har ikke den friske "crispy" syrligheten som jeg forbinder med en god ipa.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a finger-thick off-white to light beige head. Some lacings. The aroma has a nice caramel, bready maltyness and some citrus peel and pine cones, but there’s also a not so pleasant phenolic smoke note that shouldn’t be there. Some canned fruits in the flavor, with citrus peel, pine cones and oranges, as well as a little bitterness. The little smoke note known from the aroma is also present. Medium body, quite dry and with a pleasant carbonation. Lightly bitter finish with pine cones, phenolic smoke and citrus peel. Pity about the smoke, else it’s a decent session IPA. 140617

50cl bottle from Meny, Ringnes park. Pours slightly hazy amber with an off-white head. Moderate malty aroma with earthy notes, some tropical fruits, mild citrus and hints of herbs and caramel. Medium sweet with mild hoppy and malty flavours and a fairly light bitterness. A bit watery and doesn’t feel so fresh. Drinkable, but nothing I would buy again.
