Alpe IPA er eit middels humla India Pale ale, med markert innslag av amerikanske humletypar. Ølet er lyst til koparfarga med kraftig skum. Ølet har ein svak maltaroma, med karakter av karamell. Middels til kraftig humlearoma. Ølet passar til matrettar med litt kraftig smak, men kan også nytast åleine.

Underlig. Litt fenolisk og med en noe brutal bitterhet - er det brukt tradisjonhumle? Fatlagring? Sært. Mangler balanse.

0.5l bottle from #235. Looks decent in the glass with a slightly cloudy rusty amber colored body under a medium sized bubbly beige head that's leaving nice lacing. Malty and almost a little chocolate roasty on the nose. I get lots of sweet rye, it actually has a hoppy touch on the nose and it's smells quite nice. Even my girlfriend liked the aroma. Tastes nice also. Not a hoppy IPA, but it's flavorful. Quite malt sweet, lots of dark caramel, some more rye sweetness. Ripened fruits. Feels nice and light oily in the mouth and it's soft on the bubbles. Mild yeast finishing this one off. A bit on the sweeter side of the IPA scale but a good one! 26.06.2014

Bottle. Deep golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop, orange, caramel. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, orange, caramel, flowers. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

500 ml bottle. Slightly unclear amber body with a fine off-white head. Aroma has caramel malt and citric fruit, but unfortunately also some unpleasant sourness. Same goes for the flavor, there is something decent going on, not very bitter at all but the acidic sourness is spoiling it all. If someone promises me they got a good batch I will try again. This one is close to udrinkable.

Medium offwhite head. Clear brown body. Mealy toffee and tropical fruit aroma with earthy notes. Dry-sweet earthy raisiny taste with vague tropical notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy mealy herbal aftertaste with spicy fruity notes. It tastes like a really good low-alcohol beer that’s quite a bit past the best before date. But it was brewed 2014-07-02, so that’s not it. Odd. (0.5l bottle, from Gulating Ølbutikk, Strømmen.)

Nydelig duft av citrus og noe honning. Dunkel gulbrun farge. Tynn hinne skum, heng langs kant. Fin smak av citrus, noe røyk og litt honning.

500ml bottle thanks to Leif for sharing. Amber coloured body, slightly hazy. Off-white head leaving nice lacework behind. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Half-dry flavours of brown malts, grass, and herbs. Leafy bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Far from outstanding, but just alright to drink. (Club meeting at Sommarøya, 30.08.2014).

From tap at Cardinal. Muddy orange. Small off-white head. Aroma of peat, barn and pig manure, skillfully combined with bitter grapefruit. Unfortunately same taste. Unrefreshing and uninviting.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Very little smokey nose. Pours orange with little head. Distinct smoke aroma, well balanced. Interesting.
