Bellaire Brown is our flagship Brown Ale. Full-flavored with notes of sweet caramel, chocolate, and toasted malt, Bellaire Brown is balanced with a mild and earthy hop quality. This ale is dark and rich with a medium body. It’s hardly classifiable as a brown, but is certainly considered a delicious masterpiece.

Pour is a dark brown with a large white head. Aroma is not much there. Flavor is kind of the same. Not much there some nutty brown ale malt but this finishes rather thin. This also did not have to be 7%. With that alcohol I was expecting a more robust brown. This is just barely OK.

Very cocoa-forward brown ale, backed up by caramel, toasted bread, apple, and a mild dark roast-ish bitterness. A touch sweet, but interesting how much cocoa flavor is here with no adjuncts. Not bad.

Can from Busch's. Pours a mostly clear chestnut brown with a finger of beige head. Aromas of nut and rye bread on the nose. Fairly dry on the palate, but some walnut, bready malt and light coffee notes as it warms. Medium carbonation. Drying finish with some peppery rye and earthy notes that linger.

12 oz. can. Pours a hazy rusty red color with a tight beige head and good retention. Scattered lacing. Active carbonation. Nutty and malty aroma. The taste matches the nose. Smooth walnut flavor in a lightly sweetened malt base and a hint of alcohol warmth in the finish. No bitterness. Medium body. The 7.0% ABV is pretty well hidden. Good stuff.
