Roast and cream. Some musk, light peat. Certainly along the lines of Guinness. Light and easy drinking. Some resin. Light bitter end. Tap at Brew Dock.

Draft at Arthur’s in Dublin. Virtually black with a thick, creamy head. Very little aroma beyond a bit of coffee but probably served a touch too cold. Taste is bitter with coffee, grains, faint dark chocolate. Lingering coffee at the finish Body stays to the light side of medium. Good.

Tap at Mad For Beer in Rome-Italy. Very dark brown with caramel highlights and tick/creamy beige foam. Nose: coffee is there but quite hidden or covered by cocoa powder. Mouth is watery as a porter should be, roast with punch of caramel. Quite bitter.

Tap @ The Black Sheep, Dublin. Dark brown color with a medium sized off-white to mocha colored head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, dark malts. Taste malts, dark malts, some caramel hints, malt bitter, dry finish. Decent body and carbonation. Ok beer.
