Bursting with coffee, chocolate and caramel flavours as a result of the complex malt profile. The hops complement the malt flavours for a rich & traditional porter that is smooth and well-balanced.

Dark ruby red when held up to light. Quickly disappearing head. Coffee and vanilla on the nose. Not a huge bouquet. Mildish: some coffee, dark malts, slight sweetness, slightly nutty. Bit watery. Ok.

Bottle: Literally black, small creamy off-white head, mild to moderate sweetish-bitter aroma of roasted malt, traces of nuts and unmalted barley and dried fruits; mild sweetish-bitter flavour, accompanied by a light acidity; pretty light bodied, but pretty soft, too; shorter caramelly and roasty finish with an increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent Stout...

03-02-21 // 500ml bottle. Online Tasting with Hopfenjünger. Dark brown. Beige head. Good aromas of cacao dust, light roasted malts, mild darker chocolate. Obviously light bodied but well brewed for the low ABV.
