330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of musty white wine, old oak, caramel, dark fruit and soft toasty malts. Flavors of sweet white wine, grapes, dry caramel, dark fruit and toasted malts. Excellent.

Bottle. First gusher on this Land van de Meester series. Color: Very dark ruby, almost black. Mocha head. Aroma: Vinuous, red wine. Sweetish. Malty. Some tartness. Hints of leather. Brett infection? Taste: Again leathery Brett, red wine, some vinuous tartness, caramel malt backbone, raisins, hints of hop and coffee and liquorice. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Light to moderate bitterness, moderate to over moderate sweet and moderate tartness. Definitely a Brett infection I haven't had in the Calvados and Rum editions of this series. I'm a Brett lover, so overall it's still a nice beer but I'm curious how this one would have been without this infection.
