330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a a very fine head. Aromas of oak, calvados, dark fruit leaning toward raisins, and toasted malts. Flavors of same with emphasis on calvados. Oaky and slightly sour notes on the finish. Some complexity.

Head gone in an eyeblink; opaque brown beer. Booze, wood, lactic acid, plums, apples, benzene, other dark fruit, musk. Apples, applecake, cacao, vanilla, banana, laurel. Sweet & severe at the same time; alcohol, lactic acid, grapes and raisins. Serious alcoholburn, some -thinning. Oily feel. Alcoholic fruit lingering. Quite impressive. A sweetness that is nowhere cloying, neither aggressive and yet very present. Txs to Stef!

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, some beige bubbles. Aroma: Dark malt, dark fruit, hints of apple. Taste: Mix of dark malt, dark dried fruit, fruit cake, hints of mocha / coffee, some Calvados, hints of licorice. Hoppy hints. Over medium body, almost no carbonation. Moderate bitterness, moderate to over moderate sweet. Could have benefit from some carbonation. Less complexity than the original non BA version. Ok slow sipper overall
