An unblended oat saison fermented and aged in barrels. This beer was brewed on 12/06/22 with a grist of English Maris Otter and two types of oats. It was boiled with very old hop flowers and slightly less old pelletized hops before fermenting in neutral oak barrels. This beer was refermented to condition in the bottle with local raw Snowberry honey.

Was it a bottle (?) at CBJ Tasting. Opaque gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Aroma has citrus and vinous sourness. Flavourwise it's rather sour - citrus and vinous. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish.

Tasting at CBJ, thanks to the team. Clear pale gold beer, small and short lived white head. Light palate, fairly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Funk. Savoury bitterness. Light funky fruits. Dry finish. Alright.

Super clean, saline, moderately acidic. Some lemon peel, restrained funk, mellow salty bite. Good depth, highly drinkable.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of rustic bugginess and a touch of oak. Flavour has fermented out honey, rustic notes, a touch of bugginess, and maybe a hint of oak. Quite bitter for a saison, surprisingly given the old hops. Rustic, buggy and bitter. Very good.

750ml (thx, Josh!) @ Ryan's.
Aroma: nice bugs with some fruity notes.
Taste: taste is along the same lines, but it has an unusually high bitterness for saisons and Floodland saisons in particular.
Overall: still a good one.

Pour at Dark Fields of Winter. Pours clear dark yellow with foamy white head. Aroma of golden raisins. Tannins and white wine flavours prominent; medium sourness. Nice incorporation of wine flavours.

Opaque. Thick head. Bright brett, has some peachy notes, it seems less juicy than before. Nice malty character...seems like a blend of old and new beer, in its liveliness but I'm not sure that's the case. 7 - 9 - 8 - 8 - 8 = 8.1

Old rating: Hazy, pale , thin head . Lots of brett, especially C, on the nose. Soft, a bit more alcohol, mellow stone fruit, juicy, beautiful pale malt. Less brett on the palate. 8 - 9 - 8 - 8 - 8 = 8.3
