Old note from 7 Apr 14. Aroma: of American hops, blackcurrant and pine tree, fruits and citrus. Taste: similar, burnt-resinous, roasted, hoppy, fruity, bitter finish, not too balanced.

0.33l bottle from #140213. Looks really good this with a huge lasting and really lacing light brown head. Nice but a bit weird aroma. Mildly roasted, a strange form of chocolate, vanilla, minty toothpaste and green weeds. Some hops also of course, but this doesn't smell like and other black IPA I've ever smelled. Tastes quite nice. Vanilla and a nice cocoa roastiness. It's pretty fantastic on the smooth almost velvety mouthfeel and soft prickling on the carbonation. Mild burnt also with hints of sweet licorice before it ends in a lingering roasted aftertaste with traces of cold coffee. A strange one, never tasted or smelled a black IPA like this. Wonder what they've done here. 10.10.2014

Bottle. Deep brown, almost black, liquid with small light tan head. Aroma of citrus, vanilla, light coffee, light diacetyl and pine. Taste is dry and medium to high bitter with notes of citrus, chocolate and butter. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Unrefined and weird.

Bottle at Bishops Arms Vasagatan. Very dark brown with a medium head. Aroma and taste of licorice, citrus, some coffee and hops. Quite sweet with a medium body. Not bad but I did expect some more hops in this one.

Bottle, 7.5%. Roast and creamy aroma with a mild teaish hoppiness. Black colour, seems hazy. Small off-white or grey head. The flavour is roasted and slightly citric. Has a salty touch. Late fruity hop note.

Black with small offwhite head. Piney, hoppy aroma, red berries perhaps. Flavour has a dark, sweet and heavy citrus bitterness, both soft and stingy. Long, dry finish.
