Ridiculously hazy pure golden coloured body with a large, four to five centimetre tall ugly, large-bubbled deep tan head that fades very quickly and leaves an ugly lace on the sides, but the beer shows a very nice, almost orange juice glow, about ninety-five per cent opaque. Aroma of dry grain, grapefruit, oranges, pepper, flowers, strong fresh-cut grass pungency with a good alpha acid bitterness in the nose and some sweetness and alcohol detectable as well. Medium-bodied; Rich bitter grapefruit and citrus flavours show at first, with some dry herbal and grassy notes, but only a touch of pepper and floral elements, but the malt hits nicely and balances out well and there is no room here for sweetness and the alcohol doesn't show any punch either, which is nice! Aftertaste is dry, clean, slightly peppery and spicey, but fairly bitter from the hops and alpha acids, while showing some grapefruit and hay as well. Overall, a nice, fairly smooth and still very flavourful, dry, grassy and crisp true Imperial IPA that doesn't show much citrus and no sweetness, but the unfiltered look is great. Nice to sample and a good idea/can - great to have fresh and early in the new year! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Chelsea), New York on 21-December-2020 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-January-2021.
