Bottled. Brown pour white head. Lots of caramel malts, nutty and clean rye. Pretty decent.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is rye, sugar, light fruit, and very little hops. Taste is sweet and toasty. Low bitterness. Plenty of rye. Pretty good.

Rich, deep dark brown coloured body with a bright copper glow and hints of ruby as well, all with a single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of rye, grain, toasted malt, alcohol, pit fruits and a bit of light curacao and oranges. Medium to Full-bodied; Super rich grain and rye flavour with a pungent kick of alcohol and sugary warmth on the finish, all with a lot of nuts, earth and caramel flavours near the end. Aftertaste shows a good balance of malt and sugars with almost no hops at all noticeable. Overall, a rather nice and unassuming beer with a good flavour profile and a large showing of pit fruits and earth, but good in general. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant Food in Falls Church, Virginia on 03-April-2015 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 27-April-2015.

12oz bottle from the Collaboration pack. Poured a crystal clear ruby color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light grain notes, otherwise just light malt notes of of rye and some sweet malt notes. Flavor was light sweet malts, some rye spice on the finish.
