500ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Mid-gold and clear. Hardly anything in the way of head - a tiny ring with no lacing. Light floral and hay scent. Some sweet caramel. Taste is sweet, slightly jammy, lemon zest present, with a bitter and lightly astringent finish. Slight body with heavy carbonation. Pretty dull but drinkable.

Cask at the six bells st albans. A brushed gold coloured pour with a loose sticky white head. Aroma is straw, hay, jammy fruits, Victoria sponge, grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rustic grains, damp hay, green straw, grass, some English yeast esters... Light tang. Palate is rustic grains, decent cask condition. Decent.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A straw coloured pour with a tight white head; light hoppy aroma; soapy in the mouth with some oranges and biscuity malts; then a well rounded bitter finish with Kentish hops and citrus peel. A tasty summer bitter.
