Bottle from Bromley Sainsburys. Bright gold pour with a white head. Orange peel & sweet spice aromas. Malty sweet taste, tinge of bitterness. Easy drinking action. Lightly spiced finish. Not bad for £1.

Bottle from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Salford. Golden with a small bubbly head. Nice and hoppy, with a traditional English ale feel, which is obviously what the brew is supposed to be.

500ml bottle. Clear gold in colour, with a moderately-sized white head. Bready, slightly sticky, malts, some citrus notes with a sharp edge, green herbs and gently bitter finish. Fine.

[50cl bottle from my local Sainsbury's] A pale amber pour with a tight white head and gentle carbonation; malty aroma; slightly sulphurous in the mouth with a taste of pale biscuity malts; then a light herbal bitterness and some caramel to finish. Refreshing and quite pleasant, but rather unexciting.

500ml bottle. Pours dark gold with a medium head. Aroma is light bready citrus. Taste is bready and gassy, with a little citrus on the finish.
