An easy drinking beer with robust bready notes brewed in the heart of Dorset. The toasted malt base provides hints of caramel and dried fruit producing colour and flavours reminiscent of hot cross buns.
This deep amber ale has notes of spice (nutmeg and cinnamon) and dried fruit and pairs well with delicious pulled pork and carrot cake.

Unusual or not, I've actually had some regular hot cross buns earlier today too. There's no sweetness here like you get from the baked product, but a similar breadiness is found in this instance. It's subtle along with its malts but very flavoursome.

[50cl bottle from my local Sainsbury’s.] A bright amber pour with a thin white head and light carbonation; gentle cinnamon aroma; sweet malty taste with some cinnamon and raisins; then a dry spicy finish with more cinnamon and some ginger adding warmth. I’m not a fan of this.
