Session golden bitter. Hopped with Cascade for a subtle floral hop character and thirst quenching bitterness.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 16th October 2025. Clear gold with shallow, dullish white foam and full lacing. Tangy fruits dominate the aroma. Sophisticated citrus peel, grapefruit juice and bitter grassiness in-mouth. Grass and grapefruit harmonise exquisitely in a long finish. Light to medium bodied with a smooth texture. Utterly superb.

Cask at Bird in hand, Stafford. Pours a golden yellow with a medium sized almost white head. There’s floral hops and summer fruits in the aroma. I the mouth it is sweet and juicy but with some underlying bitterness. Flavours of oranges and floral hops plus some malty hints. Finish is slightly bitter. This reasonable – nice uncomplicated refreshing and quaffable. It’s a golden ale though, not a bitter.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Dark gd, clear with a small uneven off-white head. Malty aroma, a little bit of citrus, slightly earthy. Bittersweet taste, some citrussy hop. Long finish with bitterness on the tongue. Medium body, slightly oily, low carbonation. Decent.
