0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. A really nice deep dark ruby-red one this, on the border of being blackish. A big quite lacing off-white head safely placed on the top. Quite spicy dry cocoa infused nose. Chocolate, sweet biscuits, mild licorice, not really too much of that hoppy punch I so often hope for - and get in three Floyds beers. Mildish but nice. Tastes also kinda light and thin. Not sure what the abv is on this one, but it's lacking quite a lot on the mouthfeel. A near creamy carbonation. Old coffee, watery licorice and dusty chocolate. This is actually one of the weaker ones I've had from three Floyds. Not bad in and way but not really amazing either. 14.01.2015

22oz bottle at CC/KY tasting. Nails it. Tropical citrus hop tones and a nice specialty malt backdrop. Balance, quite a solid Black IPA. Minty, chewy caramel, chocolate. Solid stuff.

65 cl bottle @ Mikkeller & Friends. Aroma is rather light with berries, some hayish malt and distant hoppy & roasty tones. Flavour is somewhat hoppy with roasted tones, some gooseberry bush, ashy tones and hints of vanilla. Also some slight metallic savor with nettles. Salty licorice occurs at the end of the glass. A bit bland and disappointing.

Tasting at Bruce’s Pad. Dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry and crisp. Very light dark malts but they still bring a touch of roasty bitterness. Lightly tangy dark fruits. Bitterish pine hops, slightly salty. Crisp finish. Light and tasty cda if lacking the normal 3F fairy dust.
