In my never ending quest to alleviate my hop fatigue, I grabbed this porter in a can even though I'm sure I could schlep over to Winter Park and try it on tap. Anyway, its a porter! Nose is classic porter, semi-sweet chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Dark brown, essentially opaque (I didn't bother holding to a light to really peer into its depths). Good khaki head that held for a bit. Flavor is semi-dry with coffee notes, a bit of roast. After taste of cold coffee. Like others have noted, nothing about this screams baltic porter (I certainly didn't even realize until I was at this point of the rating and glanced at the style). In my book this is what they used to call robust porter and I assume flavored with coffee? Whats the name mean? Coffee for the working man? A Rush reference? (doubt it) Or a reference to the classic porters of which the beer style bears its name? Who cares?

16 oz. draft at the Orlando International Airport. Pitch black color with a beige head and decent retention. Creamy mouthfeel. A good porter with only a light molasses/licorice flavor. The 6.7% ABV and 31 IBU are well hidden.
