Bottle from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham. Hazy amber with no head. Sweet, marmalade and caramel aroma with grassy hops. Well balanced flavours of biscuit malts and earthy spice, with a citrus hop kick and decent bitter finish. Good.

Bottle that I picked up from the brewery 23-01-09, and consumed 28-01-09 Pours amber with a slight haze, though my utility room is very cold and so this might be a chill haze as my next beer also threw a slight haze. Aroma is malty but there is also a hint of soft fruits maybe apricot. Taste is quite clean and crisp, both Loz and I noted this but once again that lovey earthiness that I found present in at least three of the Hopshackle beers comes through once again. There is a nice bittersweet qulity to this and even a touch of light spice, bit like cloved orange, whatever it is another very enjoyable beer, cheers Nigel. A7 A3 F7 P4 OV15 3.6
