Bottle shared at CBJ - cheers to MadMitch. Pours lightly unclear copper-brick with a slight, foamy off-white head. Light to medium sweet flavour with a pleasantly mellow acidity, nips of wood, berry tang, lemon, salt, leather. Medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Salty and lightly acidic finish, with mild warmth. Really nice and complex stuff. Solid.

CBJ Tasting. Thanks to me. A light haze on this amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, fairly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. A lightly tart cherry, a little whiskey barrel fruitiness and a touch of oak barrel vanilla. Airy dry finish. Entertaining, would have never have known that Chevalier malt was involved.

Bottle split at the Rar Date Tasting at CBJ, thanks to Kenneth, 29/02/2024.
Hazed golden with a reddish glint topped with an off white cap that thins to the edge.
Nose is fruit rinds, earthy, damp straw, herb, dried red berries.
Taste comprises light cherry skins, vinous, farmyard twang, yeast bite, cherry pipe tobacco, dried fruit rinds.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light puckering rasp.
Tidy enough sour.
