Süßer schokoladiger Malzantrunk. Ausgewogen, mild hopfig, cremig, Röstnoten. Weich ist das Bier auch im Mittelteil und Abgang, zum Ende allerdings etwas trockener. Gelungen! 12/11/11/12/11/12

65 cl bottle @ olio. Bottled 13.11.2013
Aroma has ash, licorice and hay. Also an English feeling and oat biscuits. Flavour. Very foamy palate. Flavour has ash, some licorice and licorice root. Also some milky tones. The foamy palate ruins the show.

Keg at CBC Holborn Garden, 18/06/14. Black with a good sized semi dirty tan head that thins to prominent edgeing but generally stays to make friends and chat a little. Nose is milk chocolate, treacle toffee, raisens, light roast, dark fruit leanings. Taste comprises chocolate, light tobacco, lactic tang, roasty notes, Soreen malt loaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate, lactic tangy goodness at the curtain call. Solid work.

On tap at Craft Beer Co Covent Gardens, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of lactose above anything - not a whole lot else. Flavour brings out a ton of lactose upfront, with a milky palate. Very drinkable. Good stuff.

Keg at CASK. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose is sweet, milk chocolate, Reisen chocolate chew, fudge and roasty notes. The taste is rich, roasty, toast, sweet coffee, chocolate, mild acidity and earth with a rather dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not overly sweet, the bitterness keeps it in check. A solid enough milk stout.
