Keg at CASK. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose is sweet, milk chocolate, Reisen chocolate chew, fudge and roasty notes. The taste is rich, roasty, toast, sweet coffee, chocolate, mild acidity and earth with a rather dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not overly sweet, the bitterness keeps it in check. A solid enough milk stout.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty sweetish chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty sweetish chocolate finish.

Sample from 65 cl. bottle. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Roasted aroma with lactose, cocoa, herbal hops, red berries and chocolate. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes dry and roasted with lactose, roasted malts and chocolate.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle @ Yespr tasting. Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, cocoa and milk chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 110414

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein fast schwarzes Bier mit schöner cremigen bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch süß schokoladig, leicht röstmalzig, Kakao, Lacto. Geschmack sehr schokoladig, Milch, geröstete Kaffeebohnen.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is chocolate, lacto, roast. Medium mouthfeel with rich chocolate malt, light lacto, and lingering sweet finish. Very good.

Tap the Jeffrey. Pours deep dark brown with almost no head. Nose of milk chocolate and roasted malt. Tastes of the same milky chocolate, roasted malt, light licorice, raisins, and heavy cream. Silky smooth palate and medium bodied.
