Bottled, thanks fonefan! Mahogany colour with mid sized head. Fruity smoky nose. Mid sweet with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and smoke, ripe fruit. Salty leathery finish.

[ As De Jyske Bryghuse Aros Smokey Dark Bock ].Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, smoke. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, smoke, sweet malt, sweet roasted, roasted, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very dark brown, small and creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Flavour has roasted malt and light chocolate. Does not set off my smoke detector...

Bottle. Pours opaque black with small light brown head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, rye bread, sour dough, chocolate spread on rye bread and prunes. Taste is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter, faint acidic and faint umami. Body is milky with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of caramel, rye bread, yeast, Vegamite, cough drops and licorice mints. Nice and round but what happened to the smoke?

Bottle, many thanks to fonefan. Dark brown color with huge beige head. Roasted aroma with coffee, dark malt, light smokiness. Taste, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, very subtle smoke. Roasted finish.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Hazed dark chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering that clears to a swirl and edgework. Nose is toffee, light cocoa, dark fruit pangs, fruit cake mix. Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, light roast, rye bread, earthy cocoa. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with bery subtle smoke. Ok - very little in the way of smoke though - Rausch Light!

50 cL bottle. Pours cloudy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and caramelish. Toffee and mild smoked. Caramelish and mild smoked. Dry and toffee malty into the finish.
