We wanted to brew something traditional but with a twist! We came up with a Barmbrack bread inspired Irish Red Ale. We started with a traditional Irish Red Ale base and asked our friends at The Bake Shop to help us out with some bread for the mash. We also got 10 pounds each of golden and regular raisins and steeped those in Golden Monkey Tea from the Spice and Tea Exchange which we then added into the beer towards the end of fermentation. We conditioned the beer on three more pounds of tea to finish.
