Tap at the bluejacket Brewpub. A mostly clear amber brown coloured pour with a lasting khaki cap. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty, liquorice, rye, grass. Flavour is composed of drying flint, chalky, grass, liquorice. Palate is dry, thin, fine highish, chalky finish. Meh.

Dark brown coloured body with a thick, two to three centimetre tall off-white and tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, light molasses and caramelised sugars and a good deal of nuts with some light spices around the edges as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong rich malts show through everything with a strong toasted, roasted and even burnt grains all around here with some light nuttiness and a bit more of an earthy bite, but a strong creaminess and richness ends this with a little bit of residual sugars on the end. Aftertaste shows the nuts and a lot of caramelised sugars with a crispness from the grain and a good deal of yeast still noticeable here, as well. Overall, a nice beer that hits the mark nicely for a roasted lager with the yeast still evident, but the malts doing a great job of leading the flavour profile. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, given to me after a hockey game by my teammate, and sampled on the roof of my hockey rink after a game on 26-May-2021, thanks Erik!

Very sharp roast. Definitely a taste of chimney here. Black pour with decent head and lacing. Dark chocolate without sugar. Very toasty bitter end. Tap at Shelter.

16oz pour is a nearly opaque black with brown edges and some creamy off white head.  Nose has malt and toast, nutty, some oily hop.  Flavor is chewy malt but oily hop too, black tea, some black licorice.  Finishes oily, tannic.  7 4 7 4 14
