Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Beer Festival 2023. Black in colour. Strength heavy but its barrel ageing is evident with a stated coconut lingering aftertaste.

Can shared at Columbus tasting . 2023-02-02. Thanks to Daniel Osprey. A dark brown coloured pour with a loose dark tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty chocolate, hazelnuts, some booze, dried fruits, waxy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, burnt butterscotch, vanilla, maybe some diacetyl, ashy roast, light tang. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, creamy, light tang, moderate carbonation. Odd after taste.

Cask. Café Beermoth, Manchester. Very dark brown. Thin, creamy, lasting, tan head. Nose has liquorice. Coffee grinds. Cocoa. Notes of bourbon and wood. Notes of meaty gravy. Taste is rich and sweet. Has a woody, dry edge. Some roast bitterness. Smooth, full, creamy body. The bitterness rises all the way. Chewy. Nice.
