9th April 2015: cask, hand-pulled at the Isle of Man CAMRA beer festival. Badged as Okells Steam, no Premium mentioned, but at 5% ABV so assume it’s the same beer. Good old gold colour with a full head crown on top. Light malty backbone on a well hopped, citrusy body and nose. I liked the blend and the 5% ABV it carried: good.

On cask as "Okell’s Steam - Amber Ale". Yellow-orange in colour, smooth in the beginning. The mainpart is grainy, slightly sweety, hints of wheat. The aftertaste is smooth, slightly grainy-bitter, not too deep and quite easy to drink. On the tongue remains a smooth, sweetish-grainy aroma with slightly bitter wheatish hints.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Golden with a tight white head. Sweetish, apricot and tangerine fruit aroma with a hint of floral hop. Flavour had pleasantly biscuity malts, more fruits and a moderately bitter finish. Drinkable.
