Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. At 7.3% abv. Aroma is dried fruits, dark malt, caramel, raisins. Some toffee. Medium sweet, light bitter. Body is medium. Mostly dried fruit, pretty agreeable.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2023) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty nose with dark bread, prunes, raisins and caramel. Malty taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, raisins, prunes, figs and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, quite sweet. Malty, soft and well balanced. Quite nice.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Inoven, SandervdL en Roelzie op het Nederlands Speciaalbier Festival 2023 in den Bosch. Het is een helder donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een aroma van mout en caramel. De smaak is moutig, gebrand, Caramel en koffie achtig.

Gedronken tijdens het Nederlands Speciaalbier Festival in den Bosch. Donkerbruin bier met rode gloed. Weinig schuim. Aroma van hop en drop. De smaak is fris zoetig en droomachtig. Nasmaak is licht bitter met salmiak.

On tap at LIB Speciaalbier Festival, Leiden ’16. Near clear amber light brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee and light butterscotch. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
