Clear dark amber - brown beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp. Sweetish thin malt, little lactose. Slight dark character as well, whisper of coffee. Forensic trace of red berry fruits. Minerally semi dry finish. A little thin but tasty.

50cl bottle, bb Oct -2013. Brown colored, almost no head, nearly flat... Aroma is weak with bready malt and coffee notes. Flavor has bread, roastedness, coffee. Short, bitter finish with coffee notes. Watery. Probably not in best shape, betting this would be really good fresh.

500ml bottle. Clear dark copper colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Nice hoppy note, cautious malty basis with a nuttily touch, fruity hints of red berries. Taste is malty with a nuttily touch, biscuit, very cautious hints of coffee, mild, dry, slightly grassy, hoppy overtones, very cautious hints of red berries. Mild, gentle, clean - very nice.

Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting - East Croydon. Thanks to Bruce for this one. Pours clearish, golden-brown with a foamy white head. Dry toasty bread nose with hints of dry cocoa. Light sweet flavor with dry and toasty bread, toasted leaves, dirt, mild chalky cocoa. Light bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Dry finish with further dry toasted malts, some earth. Decent.

Bottle shared by Bruce at the Croydonia tasting. It pours deep red-brown with a small beige head. The nose is toast, earth, caramel, wood and faint citrus. The taste is caramel, earthy, wood, light toast, toffee, pithy orange and tangerine with a bitter, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, well balanced and rather drinkable. Good stuff.
