Draught at the brewery. Pale cloudy amber gold colour with a frothy white head. Aroma is banana fruity, ice cream, bread, wheat and a bit of pepper. Tastes like banoffee pie. Initial spike of sharpness then beautiful sweet taste with wheaty undertones. Lots of fruit and creaminess. Slight bitterness towards the end of the glass. This was absolutely delicious. The best wheat beer I have ever had. Lovely. Rerate: 7/9/13, or rather rescore. Not sure if it was especially good last time, or especially disappointing this time. Never tasted as good in the bottle, so I lean towards the former. This time there was nothing wrong, but maybe my expectations started in a different place. It was perfectly nice, but didn't have the mind blowing taste of last time. Sorry!

Starts out light and pilsner-ish, then quickly develops clove and vanilla notes, all fine and dandy for a hefeweizen. But a thick, honey-tinged heaviness overtakes the middle, growing cloy and musty towards the back end. Finishes with a clingy sweetness mixed with off-putting fruit esters. Decent pour, super-sweet nose, and a good feel, but the sweetness is really hard to bear.

Yep. This one has a unique flavor for a weizen.

Bottle. Nice shiny cloudy yellow with a white head. Yeasty, very phenolic spicy aroma, with clove, some bread, and a bit of banana. Flavor is a bit sweetish, a bit tart, with yeast, wheat, some phenolic spiciness, and some nice fruitiness. Finishes with bread and a light bitterish touch. Medium-bodied, well-carbonated. Overall, a decent, enjoyable, well-made Weizen

Ooh, I lika da cute liddow owl! Has okay head and golden colour. Aroma is mustiness like a wit, some leather, shoe polish. Flavour is a meaty brew, lots of malt and leather flavour with hints of wit on the backend. Nice and balanced between light and heavy, a good mix, expertly crafted.
